expanding human settlements (cities and towns), to a smaller extent also establishing infrastructure (roads, railways, powerlines, canals, etc.), mining for natural resources, cutting wood for timber provision, renewable energy (establishing dams on hydroelectric power stations and establishing wind farms) and polluting the environment.
